Look for good deals on winter coats during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  * tip: to keep from looking boxy or like a big marshmallow find a coat that has a belt at the waist or is fitted at the waist.*

Military Chick

Happy Sunday everyone!! We are one day closer to yummy turkey and fun family time! Last night I watched Mocking Jay part 1 (if you have not seen it go asap). It was awesome! This is what I wore to the movies. You could dress it up with more jewelry, jeans, or curled hair. I wanted to be comfy yet cute so I went with leggings.

I love headbands period. They automatically make you look more pulled together and they add a little glam to a pony tail, braid, or even a messy hair look like mine. I got this headband from Franchescas. This is my favorite one because I can wear it with anything. Invest in some good headbands. They will save you from bad hair days (oh how we hate them). Francesca's Headbands

My shirt is from American Eagle (here). It is jogging material (so soft) and its only $14.99 online right now! I've always loved stripes and they are IN this year. They go with so many things. You can not have enough stripped shirts.

Ahh, Military green jacket. I honestly never thought I would buy or wear a "military" jacket but boy was I wrong. I wear this jacket anytime I can. It's super lightweight but still keeps me warm. I got this jacket from Maurices. They have some super cute clothes (lots for plus size) and for reasonable prices. I am looking for a longer, more heavy weight army jacket to wear this winter. If you have any suggestions comment please!!

To tie together my military chick look, I decided to wear my cream colored combat boots. I don't wear these a ton but I think they are adorable. Don't be afraid to try new styles like edgy combat boots! Everyone can pull them off. I got these from Forever 21 (last Christmas). Here are some similar boots (here) and (here)

Thanks for reading today! Comment if you have any suggestions on blogs I should do. Also comment if you know of any cute army style jackets. Have a blessed Sunday everyone!

Weekend of Football

I got to spend my weekend in the lovely city of Knoxville. I watched the UT vs. UK game and this is what I wore. UT and UK are my top two colleges, so it was fun to watch them go head to head and freeze my butt off. Of course, I mostly watched the cheerleaders.

Since I'm torn between the two teams, I decided to wear neutral colors. My sweater is from American Eagle (size S). It was my first time wearing this sweater. It was super comfy and actually pretty warm. I only had to add a coat over it during the game. The sweater is cream with tiny gold specks in it. American Eagle has some super cute sweaters and some are even on sale (here). I am wearing my American Eagle jeans featured in my last blog ''Sweater Weather" and they are still on sale for $29.99  !!

My booties are from JustFab.com! They are my new favorite shoes. The carmel color goes perfectly with so many things. The fringe detail adds a trendy element to the booties. If you do not have a Just Fab account, look into it! I ended up getting these booties, originally $74.96 for only $32.96 (and free shipping). If you are looking for stylish boots, flats, heels ect. look into making a Just Fab account. They even have an app to make shopping even easier. Just Fab

Even though it was freezing cold and Kentucky got killed (boo), I had a blast watching the game, shopping, eating yummy food, and enjoying pretty sites. I mean look how beautiful the background of my pictures are. Fall is truly the prettiest season! Go Cats!

Comment if you have any suggestions or request for upcoming blogs! Thanks for reading!

Roshe Run

It's Workout Wednesday everyone! Every Wednesday I'm going to do a post on something fitness related. Fitness/health is a big priority in my life and should be in everyone's!

Today's workout Wednesday is all about my favorite shoes ever, Nike Roshe Run! When I first saw these shoes I was not a big fan....then I saw these bright blue with neon pink accents and I fell in love! They are actually one of Nike's more inexpensive ($65-$75) tennis shoe. They are so comfortable for the gym or even to wear with jeans. They also give you an inch or so in height (which I love since I'm 5'0). I found these at Hibbets Sports but I have seen them in other shoe stores. You can also customize your own pair on the Nike website (they will be a little more expensive customized).

If your looking for super cute, supportive tennis shoes Roshe's are the way to go. I can't tell you how many complements I have gotten for these. I also have washed them 2 times and the color has not faded. I will be purchasing another pair very soon!

Sweater Weather

I wore this simple outfit to school today. This is the perfect outfit for a date night to dinner and a movie or just a night around the town. I like to keep my outfits simple by not adding over the top jewelry and keeping my makeup and hair also simple yet pretty.

My sweater is from Target.  This "military" green color is IN this season and I can't get enough of it. It is lightweight knit so make sure you have a tank top to wear under it. The lace trim on the bottom adds a little feminine accent to the sweater. It has an adorable bow on the back that you tie at the top by your neck. It comes in other cute colors and its only $22.99 (oh yeah!).  I pared my sweater with a gold long dreamcatcher necklace and gold dangle earrings.

I am wearing my favorite dark wash jeans from American Eagle. Their jeans will change your life! They are high waisted (not to much) to elongate your legs. You can't go wrong with a dark wash jean. They are a must in your closet! American Eagle has some similar to mine on sale right now for $29.99 (Here).

My boots are Madden Girl. I have a very small foot so when I find cute shoes that fit me, I have to get them! They are lace up (like combat boots) in the front and have a sweater like material cuffed around the back. My favorite part about them is the hidden wedges (so in style). Since I'm 5'0, I'm always looking for a way to add some inches to me. Although they are wedges, they are SO comfortable. The boots add a little more edge to this simple outfit.

Thank you for reading today (:

Peplum Top

Today I'm wearing a black peplum shirt with olive colored jeans and black combat booties. I love this peplum top because it fits me like glove but still adds some curve to my figure. You could dress it up with more jewelry or even a belt around your waist. These are my favorite colored jeans! They are high waisted and this olive color is a must have this season.
My sister recently got me this adorable Jessica Simpson cross body bag. I'm in love with it! Always have a to go to black bag!
These are Roxy combat booties. I wear these all time. They have a tiny heel to give me an inch or 2 in height (huge plus since I'm 5'0) but are still comfortable enough to wear all day. I found these at Ross for $34.99 (score)!
I got my black peplum top at khols (xs fits  petites perfect). The jeans are bullhead denim from pacsun (comes in 00 & 0). My booties are Roxy from Ross.

Pretty Nails

I am a huge nail person! I always have to have my nails done. Us girls know getting our nails done at the salon gets expensive.
I love this shade of pink, it's a perfect summer and transition into fall nail color. OPI is also one of the best nail companies in my opinion. I can go up to two weeks without my color chipping (big plus). Each bottle cost around $10 but lasts you a long time! I found this color at ULTA beauty stores. Save some $$ and invest in some great nail colors.
